"I always knew I was an artist and a teacher. With my ever present blackboard, my pets were my earliest students. The colorful leaves I glued to my bedroom wall were to me a Symphony of Autumn, although my mother wasn't impressed. Somehow, life intervened. I put away my blackboard and paints. I became a parent and a grownup. Always drawing, I used any medium available to create art. Dull pencils, crayons, chalk, markers, whatever my kids had on hand. I discovered colored pencils about 15 years ago, I spent a lot of time learning how to use them.

 

Today, I am flattered by people who can't believe my drawings are done by pencil. I usually find them with their noses pressed against the glass inspecting my techniques. I now teach drawing, colored pencil technique and creative skills to adults and children in my community."
